Heritage Surveys were appointed to prepare a Conservation Management Plan for the Queen Mary’s Steps, Embankment, London.
The steps and terrace were designed by arguably the best known and most highly acclaimed English architect, Sir Christopher Wren.
The steps provide the only uninterrupted public access to the remains of the former Royal Palace of Whitehall, which functioned as the principal London residence of the monarch from 1529 to 1698.
Heritage Surveys were engaged to specify and manage the external repairs to the steps.
